We're gonna MISS YOU #51!

We'll really miss you # 51, you've not only been a GREAT PLAYER (the only SABRE ALL-STAR this year), but also a good friend to us (especially with your weekly show with Rob Lucas here on STAR 102.5). At least we won't see Brian as much being in the Western Conference (not like the reminder of seeing Chris Drury or when Danny Briere scored the Winner in The SHOOTOUT the other night with The Flyers) but we know he'll do just fine in San Jose.
Now The Sabres will welcome STEVE BERNIER (picture above) from The SHARKS..the right winger from Quebec has 13 goals, 10 assists (23 points) and 62 penalty minutes with San Jose this season, and hopefully can make an immediate impact with his new team.
Hockey life goes on...Go SABRES!

If pro athletes have to get injured, get injured in BUFFALO!

NFL players know (after the superb care Kevin Everett received from The Bills BUD CARPENTER and staff) and now NHL players know that if you are injured in Buffalo you'll get IMMEDIATE and EXPERT CARE! The scary and surreal episode at Sunday's SABRES/PANTHERS game with RICHARD ZEDNIK now has everyone
breathing a little easier after the quick care given by Drs. BISSON, McCORMACK, and NOOR at Bufalo General Hospital! I know, after being at that game back in 1989 with the SABRES/BLUES and watching Clint Malarchuk get cut, everyone at The ARENA (and watching on Sunday night) was extremely concerned about The Panther's #20.
It's good to know athletes, at least in pro sports, will get the expert care they deserve right here in Buffalo! Again, Kudos to all the Drs. involved...and a special salute to Dr. Bisson who was involved on Sunday and with Kevin Everett's eventual success!

#10 Stort Tack!

What a BRILLIANT move by Coach RUFF for putting #10 Henrik Tallinder in
to take the SHOOTOUT against NJ Devils goalie Martin Brodeur on Wednesday
night! If you were asked to name any 3 Sabres to take a shot on Brodeur in the
Shootout #10 would probably be WAY DOWN on your list (if at all). I'm sure
that the DEVILS netminder wouldn't have guessed it either, but Henrik's goal on
maybe the best goalie in the NHL was certainly one for the HIGHLIGHT REEL
for this entire season and helped solidify the Sabres big WIN against a Team that the SABRES have had a tough time beating within the last few years! THANK YOU VERY MUCH
(STORT TACK...my best Swedish) #10, you "rocked" Wednesday night!

As opposed to an earlier post, call me now cautiously optimistic about the SABRES getting in
and deep into the playoffs this year after the long, recently concluded, POSITIVE road trip!

GO SABRES!

I'm glad LOST is back!

I'm so happy my favorite TV show is BACK, with a better time slot (and no
SABRES Hockey) last night! If you like HURLEY you really must have
enjoyed last night's episode...I love they way the producers have
incorported the "flash forward" looks that have made the show even more
intriguiging (and almost like 2 separate shows in one).
Thanks again ABC, and even though we may only get 8 NEW episodes (due to the WGA Strike)
it will be better than no LOST at all!
