BRIAN CAMPBELL THE SABRES TRUE All STAR!

If you watched the NHL All-Star Game on Sunday on CBC
it seemed all they could talk about was the "BEST BLUE-LINER
ON THE ICE" our #51 BRIAN CAMPBELL! With 1 goal,
2 assists and the Game's 3rd STAR do you think Brian's stock
has gone up if he does hit free agency this summer? Urgent note
to TOM GOLISANO/LARRY QUINN and Company...at this
point Brian is worth much more than our $50 MILLION MAN
(#26), PLEASE if it is at all within your power to re-sign him DO,
SOON! Rob Lucas should have BRIAN on sometime this week in the
morning to talk about the GAME and how he EVENTUALLY got to
Atlanta after the Sabres game in DALLAS.
Thank you BRIAN, a TRUE ALL-STAR!
Oh yes, GO SABRES!!

SABRES: I'm really WORRIED!

Because the SABRES Season changes so quickly (with the recent 10
game LOSING streak and then the 10-1 win over Atlanta) I didn't really
want top Blog until things settled down a little. But now that the Team is
in the middle of the longest road trip in Franchise history I can pretty much say
that this Team may NOT EVEN MAKE THE PLAYOFFS! What a difference from last year's
President's Cup Team, just checking the recent NHL STATS...only Brian Campbell is mentioned
as THE ONLY Sabre as a Top Scorer (6th best Defenseman), unlike LAST YEAR at this time
when there were numerous Sabres on the same lists. I can only hope that The SABRES are the BEST TEAM in The League (unlike last year) AFTER the ALL-STAR BREAK, but even at this
point if the were the BEST TEAM after the "BREAK" it still might not be good enough to make
this year's playoffs.
Still...Mr. Negative says "GO SABRES!"

Kudos to The BILLS TRAINING STAFF!

Big Congrats to The Buffalo BILLS Training staff headed by Bud
Carpenter for winning the 2007 NFL TRAINING STAFF OF THE YEAR!
The AWARD that's given out every year by The Pro Football Athletic Trainers Society in conjunction with the Ed Block Courage Award
Foundation is in its 23rd year and this is the first time the BILLS Trainers have won. Bud's staff, Greg McMillen, Chris Fishetti, and Shone Gipson were of course quick on the field for Kevin Everett's injury early in the season
and we all know how that turned out. I love the ever so humble Bud Carpenter
quotation: "It's great to have all the accolades about Kevin Everett, but the bottom line is we did what we were supposed to do, we put him in an ambulance and gave him a chance."
Bud, you've been doing RIGHT for over 20 years...keep up the good work!

My Winter Classic Wrap!

The only thing that didn't make The WINTER CLASSIC 100% perfect was the game's outcome, and do you think the NHL was happy that Sidney Crosby scored the winning goal? If you missed CBC's coverage of the entire event you missed some very positive press about Buffalo... their pre-game history of hockey in Buffalo was incredible (including a great piece from Elliotte Friedman about the AUD then and now with retired #14 RENE ROBERT giving the locker room tour and #32 ROB RAY and how he received the old penalty box door for his very own).

Even though the NHL may do more of these outdoor games in other cities in the future, we can be proud we had the FIRST in the USA!

Thank you SABRES!
